Al Farah has every year since 1996 organized annual dance shows. The show is a glamourous event that gathers both ambassadors, association members, friends and everyone who has an interest in oriental dance and culture. After the show we usually organize a concert or an arabic disco. The atmosphere is always great and the audience is lovin’ it.
The shows are open for both amateurs and professional dancers, highlighted by Norwegian and international guest performers. We take great pride in showing a variety of different styles within the oriental dance genre, from folklore, cabaret and tribal to andalusian and fusion.
Bazaar/Souk
At the show venue we have a souk where you can find everything your heart desires. You can buy costumes, hip scarves, oriental music, jewellery and dance props, and at the Al Farah stand you can purchase our latest show DVD. Please contact our Event Committee if you have items for sale and would like to book a sales stand at our next dance show.
Show DVD
The shows take place at venues in downtown Oslo, and the sound/light production is of high quality. Every show is professionaly filmed and edited, and every DVD including the latest issue in 2011 is for sale in the Shop. As of 2012 the Board of Al Farah has decided not to produce any more DVDs.

Our professional photographer captures the essence of every performance on stage. As a performer in one of our shows you can purchase a collection of high resolution pictures from your performance. Contact our photographer here.
Workshops
We usually host classes with our guest performers or organize other workshops during the weekend of the annual dance show. Please visit Workshops for more information.
Voluntars

Do you want to perform?
Both soloists and groups can register to perform. Please read the instructions carefully before you register, as some details regarding venue and performance will vary from each time.
